In Focus | ‘The Good Life’

Slim Aarons, Sea Drive, 1967.

Sun, sand, surf, sex: the perfect recipe for a summer vacation. But if you’re like me and you live in the real world and have to work, a modest trip to an air-conditioned gallery might be more in order. Thankfully, you can still dream big (without breaking a sweat) by viewing a myriad of sun-drenched snapshots from the likes of Diane Arbus, Massimo Vitali and Gail Albert Halaban currently on display for “The Good Life,” an outstanding new show at Yancey Richardson Gallery, up until the end of August. It feels like an art-world summer photo album—without any embarrassing pictures of your mom on the beach.
